Team Check-in:Team check-in will be Monday, July 5, at 2 p.m. at the Goldey Beacom College, 4701 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE, 19808. There are two check-in locations, PONY and Midway Orange Crush (Host).
PONY: Each team will receive one copy of the tournament schedule.
When you check your team in, PONY will provide you a copy of your team’s official roster. This is your team’s official roster which lists the team’s legal players, a manager, and coaches. Only those players, manager, and coaches list on the roster shall participate in the Nationals. If you have any issues/questions with your team’s roster, you must see the designated PONY Tournament repressentative.
PONY will also confirm each team’s contact information (two names and cell phone numbers) and hotel. Any team not utilizing Partners In Team Travel hotel service shall be required to pay Midway Orange Crush an additional fee of $400, which is due prior to receiving a National schedule.
Midway Orange Crush, National Hosts: The host will distribute preordered items, team passes, Opening Ceremony information, etc.

It contains information on gate passes, opening ceremonies, maps to parks, National apparel, etc.
Manager’s Meeting: A mandatory manager’s meeting will be held immediately after the 2 p.m. check-in at Goldey Beacom College. During this meeting we will review rules, schedules, schedule corrections, park rules, etc.
10U Schedule and Format: Play will begin with pool play on Tuesday morning. At the conclusion of pool play, all teams will be ranked in their pools and be seeded into three game elimination brackets.
Three game elimination round will begin after pool play is concluded. This is NOT triple elimination. Each team is guaranteed three games in this elimination round.
The winners from each three game elimination bracket are placed into a single elimination Championship Round bracket. The winner is the National Champion. The Championship game is scheduled to occur on July 10. All of the teams in the Championship Round will receive trophies and are invited to the 2010 National.
If the National is delayed due to weather, etc., we have scheduled Sunday, July 11, as a rain date.
Opening Ceremonies: Opening Ceremonies will be held on Monday, July 5, 4 to 8 PM, at the MIDWAY Fields Complex, 3300 Millcreek Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on the soccer/lacrosse fields.
Rosters: We will not be collecting rosters, birth certificates, medical releases, insurance documentation, and add/drops prior to the tournament. All teams attending the Nationals shall have a completed online roster. The teams shall bring their roster, birth certificates, and insurance, with them to team check-in.

We will be spot checking roster information during the tournament, so we encourage you to have a binder or folder which contain all of this information with you at all times. Our check will include a review of all of this information to verify:
Birth certificates to ensure team meets age requirement
Insurance to ensure team has required one million dollars coverage
Signatures of players, parents, and organization
Insurance or insufficient insurance: The team may not be permitted to play another game until sufficient insurance documentation is provided to the PONY Tournament Director.
Birth Certificate: The player may not be permitted to play another game until the birth certificate (copy) is provided to the PONY Tournament Director.
Player/Parent Signatures: The player will not be permitted to play another game until appropriate signatures are obtained and provided to the PONY Tournament Director.
No Show Penalty: A no show team is defined as a team that has registered to attend the tournament, but does not show up and notify the National Tournament Director, in advance of the National tournament, that they will not be attending. The manager of the no show team may be banned from being a PONY team manager, coach, and business manager in 2011. The National Tournament Director has the discretion to increase the manager’s sanction. The National Tournament Director may also take action against the team’s organization.
Bench Area: Players and coaches are the only individuals permitted in the bench area and on the field of play.
Rules: The 2010 Girls Softball Rules and Regulations
Game Time: In pool play and bracket play, no inning may start after one hour and 20 minutes. For pool and bracket play games, the clock begins at the conclusion of the pre-game meeting. There is no time limit on championship round games.
The home plate umpire is responsible for clock management.

Please turn the form into the PONY site field director or PONY National Headquarters so the award can be processed.
Those players who hit home runs will be given the ball. Please see the PONY field director to get the ball.
The team manager’s address may be substituted for the player’s address.
