AnnouncementsORANGE CRUSH 18U TRYOUTS for 2009 seasonThe Orange Crush 16U/18U is holding tryouts for the 2009 season. All positions are open. We are a well established and successful softball team that will be playing a very competitive College Showcase schedule. We plan to play in 2-3 Fall tournaments, and 7-8 tournaments plus Nationals in 2009. Tryouts are Wed Aug 13th 6-8PM and Sun Aug 17th 10AM-12PM. Tryouts are at the Midway Girls Softball Complex on Millcreek Road in Wilmington, DE. Please arrive at the fields 15 min early to check in and warm up. Hot News2008 USSSA Mid Atlantic Champions!The Midway Orange Crush won the USSSA Mid Atlantic Championships at Ripken Sports Complex in Aberdeen, MD. The Crush won all 3 games on Saturday setting themselves up as the #2 seed for bracket play. On Sunday the Crush beat the Churchville Lightning 4-2 in the quarterfinals, the PA Force 5-3 in the semi-finals, and defeated the Shamrock's 2-1 in an International Tiebreaker for the Championship! Crush wins first tournament of 2008 season! The Midway Orange Crush won the Sharkfest College Warmup on June 1 in W Deptford,NJ. 21 teams competed in the tournament and the Crush won 4 straight games on Sunday. The Crush defeated the MD Angels 4-0, the Jersey Nightmare 6-0, the Jersey Storm 5-1 and the Jersey Starfire 6-3 in the Championship game. Great start to the season Crush!! Crush goes 5-2 and finishes in 7th Place at ASA Eastern Nationals The Midway Orange Crush 16U went 2-0 in pool play and earned a #1 seed going into bracket play at ASA 16U Eastern Nationals in Sterling, VA. The Crush then went 3-2 in bracket play with both losses by just one run. The Crush finished in 7th place out of 29 teams. CRUSH 18U SCHEDULE POSTED The Midway Orange Crush 18U schedule is complete. We also will compete in Nationals tournament at the end of the season. 21st ANNUAL MIDWAY INVITATIONAL PONY QUALIFIER TOURNAMENT The Midway Orange Crush organization is hosting it's 21st Annual Midway Invitational Tournaments for all age groups throughout the month of June. The tournaments are hosted at Midway's "Field of Dreams" complex in Wilmington, DE. We have one of the finest softball complex's in the area and our tournaments sell out every year - so book your spot early for a great weekend! Team IntroThe Midway Orange Crush 18U is an 18U ASA competitive travel team. We are also PONY,NSA and USSSA affiliated. We will play a full 18U schedule of 8 tournaments plus Nationals in 2008. |
