10U Kings Black continue win streak, sweeping Novi Heat in doubleheader

The 10U Kings Black won their third and fourth consecutive games by sweeping the Novi Heat in a home doubleheader on Saturday, May 10. With the wins, the Kings run their record to 5-2.

In the first game, the Kings were in control the entire game, entering the 5th inning with a 12-0 lead. The Heat scored 2 runs in the 5th inning, and the game ended with the Kings winning 12-2. Kings pitchers held the Heat to just 2 hits, with Braden Larusso pitching 3 hitless and scoreless innings, and Michael Krukowski allowing only 2 hits. Max Miller went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI.  Josh Behen, Luke Darmos, Michael Krukowski and Austin Fietz each had singles.

In the second game, the Heat took a 4-3 lead into the 6th inning when the Kings scored 5 runs in the top of the inning to take an 8-4 lead. But the Heat would not go quietly, rallying with 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th, but coming up just short. The Kings won 8-7. Josh Behen went 3 for 3 (singles) with an RBI. Timmy Clatterbuck hit a triple with an RBI. Michael Krukowski, Hayden Files and Braden Larusso each added singles.
